Thanks go out to the Smokey and the ACE Clan for a great scrim on Saturday, June 10th '06.

   Both teams showed up eager to battle it out, since their last scheduled match-up was canceled due to technical difficulties. This time, the 65th started out dealing with an attack on their Teamspeak server. Smokey stepped up and saved the day, allowing the 65th to use one of the ACE Clan's Teamspeak channels. 

   The contest was a 7 vs 7 match-up, played on two maps, with two rounds of play on each map, one round of allies and one of axis each. The ACE Clan chose Stalingrad and the 65th picked Algiers.  The scrim started on...

Stalingrad, with the 65th coming out strong with a 9-1 win, as allies, in the first round. Then, the two teams traded sides. This time it was the ACE clan that hit first, and kept coming hard. The 65th squeaked out a 4-3 win in the final seconds of the round.

   The second and final map of the scrim was Algiers. After twelve minutes of intense combat, the 65th clinched the win with a 4-1 effort in the third round. Both teams remained to battle out the last round, also with a 4-1 victory going to the 65th.

   Both teams played hard, showed great fighting spirit and good sportsmanship. The kill ratios at the end of each round were virtually equal. It was the flags that made the difference.
